Exlar Releases K Series Universal Actuator
Exlar K Series linear actuator
|
Exlar expands its linear actuator line to include the new K Series Universal rod style linear actuators. The K Series allows for options to mount any type of motor. This actuator series is also available with multiple grades of planetary roller screws and an option for an ACME screw, permitting operators to choose the configuration best suited for a specific application while remaining within budget. The K Series is available in four product performance levels, including the KT, KX, KM and KA. The KT offers the highest performance roller screw, followed by the KX and economical KM, while the KA offers an ACME screw for low-duty cycle or non-back driving solutions. Learn more.
Tritex II™ Redefines Electric Actuation in Hazardous Locations, Now with Class I, Division 2 Rating
Exlar Tritex II linear actuator
|
Launching a revolutionary improvement in electric actuator technology, Exlar’s Tritex II™ actuators are now available for applications requiring CSA Class I, Division 2 certification. With this new option, the Tritex II Series delivers an ideal solution for your high speed, modulating electric actuator requirements in locations where flammable gases, vapors or dusts occur.
These Tritex II products provide brushless electric solution with either linear or rotary (output) actuation and a digital position control in a single package. Both linear and rotary models in the Tritex II Series have CSA Class I, Division 2 groups A, B C and D certification, -20 to 65°C temperature range with an option for lower temperatures and IP65 and Type 4 environmental ratings.
Available with the Class I Division 2 ratings are units with the standard I/O interconnect (with or without 4-20 mA Analog I/O) and a terminal box for user connection of wiring with NPT ports. If you require linear or rotary actuation with Class I Division 2 ratings, our Tritex II actuators can deliver the performance you need. Learn more.
New Cable Makes it Even Easier to Establish Communications with Tritex Products
Exlar ensures simple and reliable communication with a new communications cable for the Tritex II product line. This new integrated cable and converter eliminates the need for any driver CDs or wiring a cable to a converter. Using the new CBL-TTUSB485-M8 cable is easy-to-use. Simply plug in the USB side to your computer with the Tritex Expert software installed, and Windows will automatically install the comm port drivers. On the other end, plug in the M8 Picofast connector to the Tritex actuator and communication with your Tritex product will begin! Learn more.
Get High-Load Capabilities and High-Speed Performance with Exlar PRS-PRR Planetary Roller Screws
Exlar's planetary roller screw.

Need more than a ball screw can offer? Exlar’s component planetary roller screw line has been expanded to include two performance grades, the PRS and PRR models. The PRS models, with G5 lead accuracy, are available in screw diameters ranging from 8 to 80mm, and deliver static load ratings up to 218,000 lbf. Exlar’s PRR models, with G9 lead accuracy, are available in screw diameters of 12 to 27mm and offer static loads up to 18,000 lbf.
Exlar’s planetary roller screws are a superior mechanism for converting rotary torque into linear motion. They function in a similar manner as acme screws or ball screws, with a nut traveling on a threaded shaft. However, unlike acme or ball screws, Exlar roller screws are capable of carrying heavy loads, at high speeds, with high duty cycles for thousands of hours in the most arduous conditions. This makes them an optimal choice for your demanding, continuous-duty applications. Exlar roller screws are also an ideal replacement for ball screws, due to their longer travel life in the same size. Learn more.
Exlar Actuators in Lockheed Martin’s EQ-36 Radar Systems for U.S. Army
Exlar received a contract to provide linear actuators for Lockheed Martin’s Enhanced AN/TPQ-36 counterfire target acquisition radar systems. On this system, two Exlar FT35 linear actuators are used to lift the radar mechanism into position. Superior to the other mechanical technologies, the FT Series provides the high load capacity, high speed and long life required for this application. Recently deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan by the US Army, the new EQ-36 radar systems can detect, classify, track and locate enemy indirect fire, providing greater protection for US soldiers and its allies.
On the EQ-36 system, two Exlar FT35 linear actuators lift the radar mechanism into position. Exlar FT Series actuators use a roller screw mounted inside a telescoping tube mechanism. The roller screw nut is attached to the actuator’s tubular output rod, which extends and retracts as the screw rotates and the nut traverses the screw shaft. As with all Exlar's roller screw products, the FT Series actuators provide high load capacity, high speed capabilities and exceptionally long life when compared to other mechanical actuator technologies.
